Evolve your standard injection moulding machineinto a multi-shot capable machine
The full electric rotary table is a positioning device, fixed to the machine platen. It is equipped with an electric servomotor for fast and precise rotation and positioning of the respective mould half. When supplied with other addons from E-Shot it will share the same PLC and controller for ease of application and extremely user friendly.
The C-Frame construction often enables the relocation of the system to another compatible press/IMM.
The C- Frame is a support system for a rotary cube mould that allows the central block of the cube to rotate through either 90º or 180º depending on requirements, transferring the previously injected parts from one processing station to another. This rotation can be achieved through either a vertical or horizontal axis. The philosophy behind this concept is to allow for simultaneous operations during the cycle, thereby obtaining very low cycle times in a standard injection moulding machine. More specifically, the cooling and the injection of the part can occur simultaneously with the injection of the various components.
The opening / closing movement of the mould also allows for simultaneous rotation of the cube mould, saving cycle time due to these parallel movements. The C-frame is fixed to one of the mould halves and if need be can be reinforced with additional supports.
This allows the system to travel with the mould and relocate to any other global site as long as the IMM is compatible. This is what we designate as the “Nomad Concept” and we try to implement as often as possible.
Horizontal Rotary Table. This addon, dedicated to the IMM, permits the interchange of Stack moulds while remaining in the press/IMM.
The horizontal rotary table is mounted on linear rails in the mould mounting area of the injection mounding machine, and then moves via a rack-and-pinion to maintain it equidistant to the machine moving and fixed platens.
The horizontal table can be fitted for both 2 and 4 face cube moulds indexing 90º or 180º respectively, transferring previously injected parts from one station to the next.
The main difference between the horizontal rotary table and the C-Frame is that the horizontal rotary table is mounted directly on the machine whereas the C-Frame is mounted on the mould, making it independent of the injection moulding machine
The E-Shot “Lift & Turn” system, as indicated by the name, involves lifting component from one cavity, rotating and dropping on a new cavity allowing for the over moulding of a second material or colour. This is achieved through a combination of servomotor for rotation and machine KO for the lift and drop.
The main advantages of the E-Shot LIFT & TURN system are:
• Less rejected parts as the plastic is always in contact with some part of the moulding parting line
• Reduction of cycle time compared to manual or robot transfer of parts
• Complex shaped parts can be over-moulded on both sides
• Can be used in combination with other technologies for in-mould assembly
• Easily interfaced with the injection moulding machine
• Easily assembled and removed from the injection moulding machine
• Device can be used on more than one mould by replacing the interface plate.
